Kashmiri Kahwa is the Traditional tea in the Kashmiri valley. This green tea is infused with Dalchini (Cinnamon), Choti Elachi (Cardamom), Saffron, Cloves and chopped Almonds. Milk is not added in Kahwa. It is often served to Guests and budding students, especially during exam days. The same tea leaves can even be used for making Ksheer Chai - another traditional tea in Kashmir. This tea needs a special preparation wherein juice is extracted from its leaves to give a Pink flavour to the Ksheer Chai. It is also known as "Noon Chai" because Salt is added in its making instead of Sugar. Both the Teas were traditionally prepared in Brass Kettle known as "SAMAVAR".
